Quality Inn & Suites

This is our second stay here bc it’s close to Kings Dominion. It is clean and serviceable for an overnight. The free breakfast is always nice! We felt safe in the area and it’s close to a convenience store and fast food. The drawbacks are the bathroom doors never seem to close (and this is in 2 different rooms)—not great for a woman with a family including 3 men. We had to go back to the desk to ask for an extra towel and the extra linens again, even though we booked 4 guests and the sofa bed option (they were not in the room). We did not receive the extra info usually given at the desk, like the breakfast houses the next day. The shower had good pressure and I love that they always have Dove products in the bathroom. Overall, it’s fine, but needs some repairs and a little “extra tlc” at customer service to stand out.

I booked a hotel reservation for Saturday 8/15 for my family of 6. After a busy day, I was planning to arrive around 11 pm for check in. I received an email at 9:30 pm of that day that said that my reservation was cancelled. This room was booked directly via the IHG website and not via a 3rd party. They have done nothing so far to make it up to me. I called the hotel multiple times and no one answer. I called IHG customer service and they told me that the hotel had overbooked and they cancelled my room. They tried to find me another room at a nearby hotel but couldn't find anything. They also said that if there was a price differential, I would have to cover the difference. They had nothing else anyway, so I was stuck scrambling to find another reservation and had to settle for one with a different hotel chain that was more than double the price and around 50 miles away.

Stayed there one night on the way back from vacation. The front desk staff was nice, went downhill from there. Grab bar in shower falling off, literally Hinges rusty and pins coming out Mold at bottom of door Ripped carpet Took stuff out of mini fridge from previous occupants NO BREAKFAST just cereal, was supposed to be set up at 7, we were down there at 7:25 AC is crap, had to put it at 64 to get it cool at all and still couldn’t sleep Soap mounted too high to reach No exhaust fan in bathroom Toilet moves when you sit on it Toilet ridiculously loud WiFi doesn’t connect Large dead bug right off dining area staff kept walking around Spilled food on floor just outside the one working elevator, I put a wet floor sign there
