Comfort Inn Smith Mt. Lake

I have stayed at this property on multiple occasions. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are clean, a hot breakfast is provided, room service is provided everyday unless I put a do not disturb sign on my door, the pool is seasonal and outdoor, but maintained everyday. I have no issues with staying here again. Oh, they also accommodated my dog during a power outage. The pet room was also clean and no issues there. I think the bad reviews people have put on here are not representative of how the hotel is. I try to make my own assumption without the influence of others opinion. I would be happy to stay here again and recommend to others.

The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly! Great family environment, hot breakfast. It was quiet and peaceful, everything in the room worked great and it was clean.

Our room, #106, was dirty. There were dark hairs on one of the beds. There was mold on the floor of the bathroom. The shower curtain was moldy. We should have asked immediately for a change of rooms, but it was late, I had driven a long way, and we were tired. We were supposed to stay three nights, but we checked out the next morning. When we told the manager about the problems, he reacted rudely and with anger. We will NEVER stay at the Baymont in Rocky Mount ever again, and we will avoid Baymont by Wyndham hotels everyplace else. For us now, the Baymont name is synonymous with filth and a lack of courtesy. We ended up at a much better hotel in Roanoke, even though that meant a longer drive to visit relatives in Rocky Mount.
