Very clean, updated older motel. Great prices. There is a restaurant right next door, pretty good food there and motel guests get 10% off their meal. Motel is only a five minute drive from the historic town of Woodstock. There is plenty of free parking and a picnic table under a cover for guests. There is also a swing (like you see on a front porch) which I enjoy sitting on but unfortunately the family running the motel was utilizing the swing with their children. They should let the guests use it. Although motel is right on sometimes busy Route 11, inside the room was surprisingly quiet although big trucks can make a noise. I always stay here when I am in the area. Plus you get Choice points for staying here as it is part of the Choice hotel chain.

Flies Infestation and Bed Bugs I gave the motel manager multiple opportunities to do the right thing, but he just didn't care. I contacted Corporate and they helped, but I decided to make others aware of some issues with the motel anyway. This place is infested with flies. In addition, bed bugs bit me really bad. I showed my bed bugs bites to the front desk clerk who apologized. But the manager is in denial of the problem with bed bugs and dared to tell me that I was bitten in another motel not his. I told him that I knew where I was and that I was in his motel room when the bed bugs woke me up at 4:00 AM and couldn't go back to sleep due to pain and itching. The manager gave me the same answer that other managers have given to other guests who are bitten badly by bed bugs in their hotels which is that the exterminator checked and not found bed bugs. They are not honest. It looks like all the managers of this type of low class motel went to the same school, had the same teachers and took the same classes. They always say the same thing to not accept accountability. And in case you don't like your driver's license to be scanned front and back, be aware that this place scans front and back of your driver's license. And if you don't like motels that charge a deposit, be aware that this place charges a deposit. Well, the flies infestation is really bad. I killed 15 flies and they kept coming. It was very difficult to eat our dinner. The flies also wanted to eat my meal, disgusting. One of the clerks told me that they have a problem with flies in the motel that can't get rid of them. In addition to that, they do not offer any type of complimentary breakfast, the pillows are paper thin and hard. The bathroom smells strange like dust, old dust. The bedsheets had stains and had cigarette burn holes. The desk chair is torn in different places, in bad shape. The queen bedroom is extremely small and the bathroom is tiny, no counter space around the sink. The room has a chemical strong smell. It made me sneeze. The bathtub bottom was black and had footprints. It was obvious that it had not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time. I had to shower with flip flops. The sofa bed in another room (just love seat size) was stained and smells bad. I couldn't use it. I do not recommend this motel. See the pictures.

Very friendly staff, clean room and what was important to me traveling as a single woman , I felt safe. Definitely make this my go to midway stop when traveling from NC to NY !! B
