Holiday Inn Express Hotels & Suites Burlington

Breakfast was a disappointment. Overcooked eggs and biscuits. Another patron said the biscuits had been burnt for 5 days. The room was very damp. I was in a suite and the bedroom had no vents or airflow that needs to be fixed. There was a ring in the tub and there is really no excuse for that.

What a nice surprise! Great rooms, great breakfast, solid value. Holiday Inn Express rarely disappoints and these days it’s nice to find something, especially lodging, that is up to par. Highway noise was pretty bad, bring earplugs, but a solid tradeoff. A printout how to use the remotes would be helpful.

We reserved a room at this hotel for a Saturday night so we could be closer to the North Cascades NP. We called on Friday to confirm and to let them know we would be coming in late and to please not assume that we backed out. On Saturday night at 10:20pm, they called me to say that they were overbooked and we therefore did not have a room. I had to s ramble to find alternate accommodations, and had to wake up extra early on Sunday to travel the extra distance due to not being able to find something nearby. While I got my money back through Expedia, when I called Holiday Inn they were unable to offer me any form of good will compensation or future credit in return for highly inconveniencing me. Very very disappointing.
