Motel 6 Bellingham

Very accomadlng upon late check in

It is a Motel 6 so expectations were low. It was an overall pleasant experience, the room was clean and the staff was friendly and the price was right. Plenty of free parking and an outdoor pool. The price was as advertised with none of those nonsense "resort fees" or parking fees. It would be nice if the rooms had a mini refrigerator and a microwave. There is morning coffee in the lobby. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and I'd recommend the Thai place. This motel is ok for a night or two while on the road and I'd stay here again.

Be prepared -- it's a Motel 6, no extra amenities, not even a picture on the wall. Bed was comfortable and clean, room was spacious enough. Bathroom was not gross but not the cleanest possible. Near I-5 so bring ear plugs. Not far from bus stop. Air conditioning worked, lock seemed pretty secure. I asked about mini fridge -- apparently it's an older motel so wasn't set up for fridges and micro-waves; they were installed during pandemic but too many were stolen so not every room has. I phoned to make sure and had both, but in my fridge was a Pabst Blue Ribbon. Don't waste your time on "free" coffee: it's just lukewarm tan water, I kid you not. I asked staff and they said it's pre-packaged. Walk up the street to McDonald's instead. Desk staff were all friendly.
