Ocean Shores Inn and Suites

I stayed here in July of 2026 for one night. The sheets were absolutely filthy and thread bear. Color of Gray. I found out very late at night and they were booked so I couldn't change rooms. I could smell body odor the pillowcase and sheets. This was the only hotel I stayed in during my vacation. I developed a rash shortly thereafter that required medical treatment. I definitely do not recommend this place.

While the staff was very friendly and accomadating when they could be, the property is in need of some real updating. Old stained carpet, lumpy couch and the beds where not comfortable. We had a room with a full kitchen and the pans needed to be thrown away. Old and scratched up. No dish soap or towels in the kitchen. Had to ask for them. Windows and window seals where dirty. Hand rail leading up to the second floor had need of some new boards. The toilet paper was a cheap brand with not many sheets on it and ran out twice the 2 days we were there and no extra rolls in the room. Had to ask for more each time. Outside of motel was not so clean. Maybe do some pressure washing. Location was good. Easy access to downtown and events.

This review is concerning all aspects of this hotel. The rooms have definitely had water damage, there was mold around the door frame, and the bathroom window. I used the shower to simply wash the sand off my feet(not touching the bottom lm of the tub) as there was a light ring around the tub. The phone number on the pamphlet was the same as the after hours which I was calling because I was literally stuck in my room after using the dead bolt the night before. My 75 year old dad had to climb through my window and help me get the door unlocked when the front office wasn’t available at the number they provided. What if there were a fire!? I’ve also had seizures previously and if that had been the case and a medical emergency had occurred that time could have been critical. My parent room had a 13” tv that was staticy. My elderly parents slept on top of the blankets in their clothes because the rest of the room was filthy and in poor condition it would reason they put the same level of care in taking care of the beds. Don’t waste your time or money! Pay the extra money and have an actually nice experience and be able to relax.
