Ace Hotel Seattle

Great hotel, clean, funky and fun. BUT we parked on the street and our truck was smashed into, and all our goods taken. Pay the price, and get into a secure garage.

I was able to touch its roots at Ace Hotel from top to bottom. The friendlyness of the staff is still there. It's convenient to have a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance and a convenience store right in front of you. On the other hand, the small rooms had no toilets and showers, the hallways and upstairs footsteps sounded rather good, the location to the centre was not good, the venue across the street was noisy until midnight on some days (earplugs were provided), so even if it was cheap, it was undeniable that the hotel had nothing to offer. To be honest, I didn't think there would be a second time here.

Excellent location. We stayed 1 night, prior to an Alaska cruise. Forget anything like typical chain hotels. Small, but quaint. NO elevators!. However, Doug helped carrying the suitcases. The room was small, but very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Doug was again very helpful about nearby places to eat, you are within walking distance to popular places. Next morning, a free continental breakfast of very fresh pasties and coffee. We were 4 blocks away from the pier, so we walked with our suitcases. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
