Holiday Inn Express Downtown Spokane

Lovely hotel with beautiful common areas and patio. Great location with nice view of downtown and within walking distance of restaurants. Pleasing color palette- much more upscale than other HIEX. Only negatives are street noise, however, I always travel with ear plugs and a fan so noise did not wake me. Without those two items, it may have been an issue. Noise no worse than other “city” noise so comfort level depends on whether you’re from a city or rural area. Very small elevator. Friendly and helpful staff - especially Brooke at front desk. We would stay here again.

I have to give this place a solid 9 out of 10. The hotel itself was in a great location and super clean. The front desk staff was polite and full of great info about the area. The breakfast staff was also fantastic. They kept everything spotless and made sure everything was refilled. There were free cookies and milk every night from 7 to 9. During the week from 5 to 7 there were free snacks, beer and wine. The breakfast was great. Decent selection and yummy and hot. The room itself was great also. No problems keeping the temp where we wanted it. Daily cleaning staff did a great job. The hot water supply was endless. Only issues were the water pressure was not great, but this is now common in most hotels. And the pancake machine was not working. The location was fantastic. Easy walk to Riverfront Park and downtown shops and restaurants. Short drive to the Garland district and Riverside State Park. Even Mt. Spokane was not a really far drive. And Coeur d'Alene was only about a 30 min drive. Airport was about a 10 min drive. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this to anyone.

The structure is quite attractive and the location is OK but you need a car as not much within walking distance. Room is nicely sized and TV is hood. Bed is comfortable. Bath is clean.
