Toppenish Inn and Suites

I stayed here several times a few years ago and it was great. I could not believe it when I drove in. The nice green lawn in front is now brown with weeds 3 feet tall. The building has siding falling off including the overhead to the entry which has precariously hanging sheet of siding. There was garbage in what used to be flower beds and window screens laying all over. You now have to check in right in the parking lot. The office was closed. I did get my room and found no soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion, no Kleenex, no plastic cups and no paper coffee cups. The was no ice bucket liner, they had no coffee and no breakfast as advertised. The mini fridge was warm and had water standing in the bottom. The clock didn't work and the dresser was missing handles. The WiFi would not stay hooked up for more than a few seconds even with my WiFi booster and antenna. Asking for supplies they finally brought a couple tiny bars of soap and a conditioner. I think they must have gone through the other rooms to come up with that. I did make it through the night and upon checking out I could not get a receipt or email because their system was down. At that time I asked if they were going out of business and the lady just walked off. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

We booked for 4 night due to a conference we were attending. The check in was fine and staff very nice. Our room was basic. There is no elevator and we were on the second floor. There is a door leading to the outside (out of the view of the office) it was meant to use your card for entry from the parking lot. It never closed completely the lock did not work. Our was 75% clean. The carpet in the room,hallways and stairs needed a good cleaning. Lamps in the room did not work because there was no plug for them. There were no rails in the shower/bath that had seen better days. The maids only made the beds once. The other times they just pushed the covers up. Never took away dirty cups. This hotel is not quality.

The place might still be in renovating rooms, and the grounds are very plain, but the care the staff take in the place is excellent. First off our room and the breakfast area was extremely clean. The linens were nicely washed and crisp. The front desk staff were very friendly. The breakfast room is small because it wasn’t original to the hotel design, but the staff replenish food continually and keep it neat and clean. The building isn’t all that sound proof which is sort of a bummer. The fridge in the room is a nice size though. If you just need a place to sleep it’s a good option. Easy to get to the rattlesnake hill wine area.
