MICROTEL INN BECKLEY

The service was good. Good breakfast. Location was great. Atmosphere very good. The room needs new pillows and place to hang suits and formal outfits like a clothes rod.

Fine bare bones hotel that was a good price and close to New River Gorge. Beds are small, pool was fine, but small. Only half the jets worked in the hot tub.

I booked a room at this hotel for my 19 year old daughter and her 20 year old friend, not realizing that the policy only allowed 21 and up to stay. When my daughter tried to check in, the employee, who said she is an assistant manager, was very rude to her. She didn't even make eye contact and treated them like inconveniences before she even knew their ages. I am not arguing the policy but the behavior of the employee was very inappropriate. Maybe had another staff member been present they would have acted more human and offered some guidance about other hotel options in the area.
