Holiday Inn Express Princeton/I-77

stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Princeton, West Virginia, from May 2–3 while traveling to Myrtle Beach. I booked my stay through Hotels.com and everything seemed fine at check-in. When I returned home, I noticed that I had been charged twice—once by Hotels.com and again by the Holiday Inn Express. I initially waited to see if the charge from the hotel was simply a temporary authorization hold, but it was not. It posted as a second charge. Since then, I have contacted the hotel three separate times by both phone and email requesting a refund for the duplicate charge. Unfortunately, I have received no response whatsoever. Mistakes can happen, but what has been most disappointing is the complete lack of customer service and communication. A simple acknowledgment or update would have gone a long way. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel due to how this billing issue has been handled.

Chose this place based on having a hot tub for my back as I was driving long distances. The tub had a 1 inch layer of foam on the top after turning it on. Front desk said it was ok they just put too much chemical cleaner in it. Asked manager for a refund, he was vey obstinate and rude. Stay elsewhere. Bathroom sink had mold and junk under the edge from not being cleaned to the top of the sink, carpets stained. Stay away from this place, I have pics to show

I have stayed twice at this Holiday Inn Express & cannot say enough about the hotel & the staff. The cleanliness speaks to the professionalism & pride that is demonstrated by the Manager & ALL staff at this hotel. It is bar none. And the genuineness & kindness cannot be described in a mere review. I highly recommend this hotel if ever traveling through Princeton WV so you can experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
