BEST WESTERN PLUS TRAIL LODGE

We stayed here 3 nights with other couples for a weekend gathering of classic VW owners. This hotel accommodated our group very, very well indeed. Our stays were planned at a group rate, and I had several requests during my stay which were handled by the hotel staff with professionalism. My room was spacious and even the bathroom was spacious, with a large countertop as well. There was plenty of water flow in the shower, and we never lacked hot water. The internet worked quite well, too. This was the perfect place for our group to stay IMO, but the only thing lacking was the breakfast offerings. Usually, today's hotel breakfast offerings leave a lot to be desired, but the offerings here were even less. There are a few diners nearby, so my wife and I simply went out for breakfast. All-in-all, we would stay here again if we were to visit the area again, and we would just plan to go out for breakfast.

We have stayed here off and on for years when we come to visit family. Its a clean nice place with very comfortable beds. The indoor pool and hot tub is always a plus! New owners have bought it recently and there has been a change! The staff has become super friendly! The Black Bear Bar and Grill has changed to The Sawmill Bar and Grill and WOW the menu has such a variety of foods now!! We did the Steak Quesadillas and they were FABULOUS!!! Our drinks were perfectly made with Coke and Rum. The breakfast here has always been good but We feel it took a step up with the new owners! They still have the fresh yogurt machine but have added healthier topping for it. They have a small bakery area with wheat bread, white bread, biscuits, English muffins and different types of bagels. They have two waffle irons that make either mini waffles or one large waffle. They have fresh fruits available. The hot breakfast meats change each morning consisting of either bacon or sausage patties. They have either scrambled eggs or a fried type of egg that is cooked all the way. Every morning they have had sausage, gravy and biscuits and I was shocked at how good it actually tasted. They also offer 3 types of cereals along with instant packages of oatmeal. They have slices of real cheddar cheese in the refrigerator along with hard boiled eggs, different cream cheeses and milks. They use real butter also. My husband made a bacon/sausage, egg and cheese biscuit or bagel almost every morning. They brew their own coffee but also offer a machine that makes different Cappuccinos, hot chocolate and such. They also have a HUGE selection of teas! We stayed 5 nights and can not really complain about anything!!

Was very clean was very satisfied with the stay would recommend staying there to anybody was very clean staff was great and rooms are nice nice bar just wish the bar stayed open later
