We arrived late afternoon and rang the doorbell as hadn’t checked the email on the road. We were greeted by a girl with bare feet and told her we had reservations. She asked which room and we said Blue Room. She showed us the room, told us basics, and literally disappeared never to be seen again for the rest of our stay. Never asked us for ID, we could have just wandered in off the street. Went out to eat, came back, cars were gone from the side of the building, and we were alone in the house. Locked our door with the skeleton key, (don’t lose, it’s the only one), and settled in for the night. Got up early, went into the dining room to find cereal and bagels on the table. Apparently there was someone around but again we never saw them. Packed up and got on the road as quickly as possible. It is billed as a unique experience and it was certainly that. It seems to have changed hands since most of the reviews were written and the current operation bears no resemblance to any of the previous reviews. It felt like someone wanted to own a cute hotel but didn’t want to make the effort it takes to actually run it. Very disappointing and a little creepy in a big house by yourself.

It was a weekend getaway. The room was gorgeous! We stayed in The Belle. The home accommodations were more than expected. It was very comfortable in the living room and side room. We sat out there for morning coffee. They have a perfect set up. We loved it and will be back. ❤️

Outstanding historic inn. We chose the option of renting the whole Inn for the week. All rooms are beautifully decorated with heated bedcover options and private baths/shower. The suites have large wonderful bathtubs. Great water pressure in showers. Abundant high quality robes/linens. Washer dryer on both floors. Well stocked kitchen, spacious dining/living room. Multiple Keurig machines and hot water teapot with lots of tea/cider/coffee/hot chocolate options & also a drip 12 cup coffee pot (my fave). We did a lot of cooking, no need to bring any equipment all there. Lovely garden with sitting area. Lots of parking in adjacent lot. Easy walk to shops/restaurants/markets; short drive to all area attractions like EAA. Owners extremely responsive to all questions; fast fix of minor issues when notified by text. I have significant allergies to pets/smoke/dust: no problems, Inn was spotless and was pet/smoke free. We would absolutely stay again!
