Candlewood Suites Wausau-Rib Mountain

It was a great place to get more bang for your buck. Very nice staff. Dahdi was exceptional!

Great hotel with very friendly staff

My family and I were visiting from Japan. It is hard to find a hotel in the Wausau area that can accommodate 6 guests (2 adults and 4 children) in that same room but the King Suite they offered was the nicest thing we could find in our price range. There was also a small kitchen which was really appealing to us because we were going to stay for 21 nights and didn't want to eat out all the time. The room was a good size for the price and everything was clean and comfortable. The pool, workout room, laundry room, and dining room were all great. We often played board games in the dining room during non breakfast hours. The breakfast itself was really nice. Different things everyday (which again was very important for how long we stayed) and the staff were always polite. I really enjoyed talking to Barb. Speaking of staff, this is a family run business and the family (and Dadhi in particular) were so friendly and helpful. It was great to come back to the hotel and be able to talk to them over the 3 weeks we stayed. We really go to know each other. The only disadvantages are in accessibility. There is (or at least was at the time) no shuttle or bus service to or from the hotel so I relied on friends and family to get us from the airport and bring us around town. That said, we are planning to stay here again next time we visit the states.
