Fort Collins Marriott

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 25 years. Sadly, the standards have slipped massively since our last visit and we won’t be returning. What were comfortable, plush rooms are now stark, hard and grey. We had a large unfurnished area in ours. The bathroom was tiny and included an open plan wardrobe area. Most odd. The door got in the way and you had to negotiate your way in and out. I kept banging my elbows. There was no safe, no drinking water and no bathroom extras like cotton wool or q tips. Our room wasn’t serviced and when we mentioned this to the front desk they said they would send more towels. These never materialised. I’ve had better service from budget hotels. Don’t bother.

The hotel itself is fine, and close to lots of options for dining and shopping if you need it, but we will stay somewhere else next trip. I don't think staff was able to handle the volume of visitors in July. We had to wait a couple hours past check-in time for our room. With the lobby overflowing with guests, it seemed most people had to wait. The length of time got a little crazy, like several hours, so the staff member offered us a voucher for a free breakfast. Considering most other places include breakfast or AT LEAST complimentary coffee, we didn't think it would be too much of an ask for them to comp breakfast for our family. They said the manager would contact us. That was three weeks ago. So, the hotel is fine, and clean, I think they just don't manage volume very well. And with other choices in Fort Collins, I recommend a different hotel.

Hotel was clean and well located to Foothills mall and strip mall shopping. I don’t recommend the breakfast buffet. I got there early and everything was already dried out and over cooked. You could barely chew the bacon and the breakfast potted and eggs were tasteless, not hot and dried out. Save your $17.00 and go somewhere else for breakfast.
