Ranch At Ucross

Guests should really stay at least two nights to experience the ranch offerings. My mother and I took a couple of 12-year old boys. They had a blast! They kept themselves entertained fishing, horseback, wandering, and swimming for hours. The ranch also provides optional dining which was delicious. Buffalo is a short drive away should you want to visit some historic sites. This was a favorite stop along our travels through the west.

A lovely peaceful ranch in a very secluded location. The ranch and rooms were all clean and tidy, it is obvious that the grounds are taken care of. It seemed to us that the ranch was under fairly new management as all staff we spoke to had recently joined and were under going various forms of training, however this did not effect our stay. All staff were polite and friendly. The ranch itself mainly caters to bus tours that arrive during the day, so be aware that at times the facilities can get busy. But is very quiet outside of these times. We went on a scenic horse ride around the local area, with some great photo opportunities. The quality of the meals that we were served was fantastic, a real credit to the ranch. Other facilities at the ranch include: Basketball court, Horseshoes, Swimming Pool, Gift Shop, & a drinks machine.

Lovely ranch with good lodges. A lot of the rooms had 2 queen beds but there were a couple with 1 bed and a sofa bed. No coffee makers in the rooms. Dinner was good but breakfast wasn’t so good. Beautifully kept horses. Has a tiny outdoor pool to sit in and cool down not for swimming but would be great in the hot sun.
