Hotel Del Lago Golf & Art Resort.

Disappointing experience. Hosted for a week, being at 6:30 pm I was denied the use of the tennis courts by “management orders”, citing a COSAT tournament that had already ended during the afternoon. At that time, only 1 of 10 courts was occupied by a social party and the other 9 were free. Denying a service included without real reason arguing that it is by order of Management being able to verify that the facilities were already all available by the end of the tournament, this shows a total lack of judgment, something very easy to solve, but obviously the professionalism is very mediocre and have a bad orientation to the guest, I wrote a careful mail to the manager with a copy to HR and they also did not deign to respond, it is the last impression I took, I would not return or recommend it.

I travelled with a group booking 4 rooms. The hotel’s interior features multiple spaces, several living rooms, a spacious restaurant and bar, library, spa, gym, games rooms for children and adults and indoor pool. The rooms are comfortable, have independent air conditioning (it is appreciated that the hot/cold mode is not centrally predetermined), several amenities and a very spacious bed. The bathroom is also spacious. The outdoor pool and its surroundings are certainly the vedette of the place. Also the property has multiple spaces for sports. The surroundings of the hotel are very nice and quiet. The staff is friendly, recreational activities are organized at different times, the spa has long hours, breakfast is varied, the quality/price of the restaurant is adequate and another detail is that next to the reception you can buy snacks and drinks, which is very good considering that the shops are far away. We were offered complimentary bottle of water in the room and massage in the spa. Why isn't that what's expected of a 5-star? Because the main thing fails, hygiene. The indoor pool had murky water, no one in the group was encouraged to use it. Bathroom towels were stained and holed. The sheets are also stained. While it was noticeable that they had been washed, it is unpleasant to use stained towels and bed linen. I explained it the next day at reception and they told me they could change them. I didn’t tell him at the time because I saw him late at bedtime and he was tired to wait for the change. In turn, in 2 of the rooms we had problems with the bathroom drain, which we also had to ask at reception to be checked. In one of the rooms for several hours the bathroom could not be used. While hygiene is essential, some warmth in bed would also be appreciated (they have only white bedding without more). On the other hand, since the hotel is far from the route and must be accessed by car, the amount of parking is somewhat reduced. I should also mention that the water in the rooms is quite salty.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, plus the cleanliness of them is good. The staff is very friendly and friendly, Juan, who was the one who welcomed us, was super attentive and helped us throughout the stay. Facilities are clean and well maintained. The heated pool is small, which is the size and Capacity (in covers) of the Hotel, but it serves its purpose and we were able to use it without problems. We stayed during September holidays, with children between 2 and 6 years old, there were activities and games for all ages, which was a pleasant surprise. The Spa Service is a very good option to relax and enjoy, Caroline a genius. The breakfast buffet is very well served and complete. The food in the room service, we found poorly served and even has an additional charge of U$S 10. The restaurant, on site, has good Service and reasonable prices.
