L'Eté was sold to me as a three star hotel in Punta del Este. Upon arrival, I was shocked to find out that it is in Punta Ballena, another town, about 12km away from Punta del Este (US$ 25.00 taxi ride each way). The accommodations are too simple, no air conditioning, an old 14-inch TV, no hair dryer in the bathroom as advertised on the site (not even shampoo/conditioning), dirty swimming pool (only leaves, I was told, but I would not dare enter it). Surprisinly nowadays, no computers, not even at the reception! Could not stay, moved to a real three-star hotel in Punta del Este.
