The Palms at Pelican Cove

We were told there would be a show.. we booked a family dinner for 7 people…we never experienced a worse night.. no show Service was non acceptable .. we got there at 6 pm and got one plate of food every half hour… at 8 pm we still did not get our food… I do NOT recommend anyone to go there for dinner Absolutely horrible!!!!!

This place seems lacking on staff, cleanliness, bare essentials and security. The pool area always had trash around it and pool looked dirty. Security seemed very questionable. I wonder if the owners know what is going on at the grounds. The place has potential but seems badly managed.

The view here can not be beat! It's beautiful!!! However, that's about it. We booked 2 booms for 11 days, ended up stay and additional 5 days as the Caribbean was shut down due to the invasion. Couldn't get a flight out!!! I am a Lifetime Medallion member, Flying Colonel, 2 Million Miler with Delta and that was the best they could do for me?? Checked back into the hotel. We were actually ready to return after the first 4 days. We were VERY disappointed in this place. Both our fooms were horrible, clean, but horrible. The furniture was in terrible shape. The rooms needed painting. Electrical switches were not handy. There was only a single lock on the door know for room security. TV viewing was made via streaming. WiFi was horrible at best!! Food was horrendous. Drinks at the bar were nasty. Food wasn't the best. We only had 2 meals there and ended up eating elsewhere the rest of the time. The bed was so uncomfortable I ended up sleeping on a single bed also in the room. Not much improvement. One room didn't have a functioning fan, even after reporting this to the front desk. No phones in the rooms, so had to use the cell and getting someone to answer was very tricky!!! People were nice but not caring. I forgot my $400 sport coat and called them from the airport. They found it and were going to send it to me but it disappeared!!! Others staying there reported being VERY disquested with the place. The smell of weed was a regular occurance. They decided to have a New Year's eve party there post New Year's eve. It was so loud we could hear it 2 blocks in our rooms. They did invite us for free but the music was horrible. There were tons of cars parked in a very small parking lot. I am sure it was against city code!! A fire truck could never have made it through. All in all, I would stay away from here. Supposedly they are upgrading the rooms and they should. The place itself COULD be really nice if changes were made. I voiced my concerns with the owner on the mainland but it fell on deaf ears. All is all, it was an experience I wouldn't want anyone else to experience!!!
