Cap Saint Jacques Hotel

Cons: Bad odor upon entry of lobby. They hold on to your passports instead of making a copy. You'll need to ask for swimming towels while you're in your room - they do not have the pool or beach towels in the lobby or at the pool. You need to ask for a ticket at the lobby if you want to swim in the pool. The pool is a community pool across the street. Not very clean btw. Beach is also across the street. Room was old and dated. Pros: Large family room with decent view. Good breakfast. Two elevators making it efficient to go up and down the floors. Decent location to beach and dining.

The decorations are a bit old fashioned, facilities are ok. From the balcony could see the South China Sea, quiet n peaceful. The varieties of breakfast buffet are rich. We like the chicken congee n rice noodles. The staff is friendly n helpful.

Hotel facilities and rooms were quite dated. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. Breakfast was average but the French bread was nice. It was quite full with local people and tour groups. The hotel private beach was just across the road but we did not have time to stroll on the beach and it seemed that the water was not suitable for swimming.
