We made booking and prepaid to Expedia and when our family arrived to Seika Hotel, Ms. Thuy - Hotel Manager said they don't have contract with Expedia anymore and not allowed us to check in. Then she asked us to pay direct at the hotel with 1.2 mil VND (around $52) for family room WITHOUT BREAKFAST. It is triple than normal price (their room rate at weekday is only 400.000 VND). At the check out date, we asked her to have written confirmation that she rejected our booking in order to get the refund from Expedia but she refused to do. This hotel is not nearby the beach and very unprofessional service to treat OTA guest like this. We will never come back to this hotel.

The most thing to tell about this hotel is the truthful staff. We stayed there for weekend and on the way back to Saigon, we realized that we had forgotten our ipad in the hotel. I called to receptionist whose name was Son and asked him to check our room and keep it for us. 5 minutes later, he called us and said he got the ipad. The day after that, our friend helped us have it back. The hotel is family-running one. If you want professional staffs like big hotels have, it might make you disappointed. But with short holidays with families or for business trips, it is one of good places in Vung Tau. The price at weekend is also reasonable. The room is new and clean. The hotel has motorbike rental service. Make sure you wear the helmet of it, not of other guests' ones. (Guests from surrounding areas traveling to Vung Tau by their motorbikes and have their own helmets hanging in their motorbikes, which might be mistaken as the hotel's)

I went here over Tet holiday just for a single night with my wife and brought my wifes family along. It was a last minute booking thru Agoda with only a few rooms remaining, I was not 100% sure what to expect but when I arrived we were checked in before the rest of our family even entered the door and could immediately go to our rooms. The rooms were clean, new looking and in good working order. I was only in a double room with my wife with a city view, however, the rest of the family in the 4 pax room had a great Ocean view. It was a great value for the money and I would stay there again.
