Nang Hon Rom Resort

Extremely disappointing. Rude staff (My Doan), wrong room and view. The breakfast buffet was basic, repetitive, and not tasty. The scenery and view were nothing special. There were too many steps, making it unsuitable for elderly people and children. I will never come back.

My family just had a short vacation there on Saturday, April 22, 2023. When I arrived, I found the resort and the room ok, clean, and beautiful. But the restaurant staff was a bit disappointing. That night, my family ate seafood and my sister was allergic, so it was also our fault when we subjectively didn't bring allergy medicine. So at about 9:30 pm, my mother and I went to the restaurant to ask for some ginger and lemon to mix with water for my sister to drink. The restaurant worker is about my age, but when she gave the ginger and lemon, she threw it in front of my mother's face and show no respect. In general, I am impressed with the resort quite well but the staff's attitude has destroyed all my impressive about this resort.

I don't even know where to start with this place. My wife and I booked this place in the middle of a backpacking trip as a treat for ourselves thinking it's a resort. I'll try to sum it up. You should stay at this place if you want to be woken up every morning by room service yelling in the hall in the morning. One morning I went out to see what they were doing and they were all huddled in a room watching TV and one was yelling out to the lady in the hall from a couch rather than walking to her and giving her instructions quietly. The rooms had dirty linen and smelled like a stale bathroom(picture proof). There was no wifi in the rooms and the connection was super weak anywhere else. The beach view room is blocked by trees so no view of the beach (proof in pictures). The restaurant has the worst food. It's like they are trying to cook American food without ever even speaking to anyone who knows how to do it. Why not just concentrate on Vietnamese food, that's why people are there. We had dinner there once, stopped halfway, paid and went somewhere else. The funniest thing about the restaurant, which I've added picture proof, is that the tables had a wooden bar that blocked your knees from pulling under the table so I had to eat either leaned over or sideways. I'm only 175 cm so I'm not some giant ogre. There is a nice pool there which was refreshing in the heat but everything to do with the pool was a wreck. The pool bar was closed and they had placed two mannequins behind the bar for decor, but it looked like a scene out of a horror movie. There was a smaller bar further away near the beach entrance but it was poorly lit, smelled like fish and had the saddest menu of beverages. Just beer, soda, and milk smoothies. The location is also really far from the main strip. It doesn't help that this place tries to make itself look like a real resort in all its pictures on booking sites. Things like beach chairs on the beach, which didn't exist, or beverage service poolside, forget about it.
