We booked this hotel for three nights. Despite the language barrier, the check-in was fine and the staff was nice. However, when we went upstairs, we noticed stains on the hallway carpet, and when we got into the room, 303, the walls showed signs of humidity, the bathroom floor was wet, and there was no TV, which was supposed to be included.
When we called the staff, they seemed surprised that the room didn’t have a TV and told us they were going to come upstairs to check. Ten minutes passed, and we called again because we were still waiting for them to show up. Then they told us that there was indeed no TV because it had had an issue.
After that, a staff member came to our room. I showed her the empty wall mount, the humidity stains on the walls, and the wet floor, and she offered us a new room. We moved to room 403, which also had stains, but the floor was cleaner and it had a simple TV, so we decided to stay.
The first night was decent, even though it seemed that our neighbor was smoking, which was forbidden. Nonetheless, when we returned to the hotel that evening, there were many ants getting into my bag and purse. At around 1:30 AM, we woke up because there was a continuous, strong noise that sounded like electricity, and our ears were hurting. It also felt dangerous.
We called the staff and they told us they would come to check, but we waited for several minutes and no one showed up. I had to go downstairs to the front desk and ask the receptionist to come check the room. She came with me, and a few minutes later a man arrived to investigate. He had to bring a ladder. After checking the ceiling, he couldn’t find the issue and told us they would call a technician the next day.
I asked if it was dangerous for us to stay there and whether we could get another room, but he said he would ask the receptionist. The receptionist then came and told us it wasn’t dangerous, even though it didn’t seem like they knew what was happening, and said that there were no other rooms available. She then left without offering any solution.
By then it was around 3 AM, and I had a work meeting at 6:30 AM. We tried to book another hotel to get at least some sleep, but everything was full, so it was impossible at that time. We had to stay without being able to sleep, with our ears hurting from the noise and fearing that something worse could happen at any moment. Meanwhile, the neighbor didn’t stop smoking, and we were breathing in the smoke all night.
The next morning, we left and went to another hotel. We received a refund for the second and third nights, which we did not use. I truly recommend not staying at this hotel. It is not what it looks like in the pictures, and your health may be compromised due to humidity, smoke, electrical issues, strong noises, and ants in the sink and other areas.
I also forgot to mention that we paid for a laundry service, and they lost at least two socks and returned one sock that wasn’t ours.
PS: The man who helped us with our suitcases when we arrived was very nice.
