Sunsea Hotel

We stayed at the hotel for one night in June 2019. The name "Sunsea hotel" had been removed from the front entrance, and replaced with "LaMerci hotel". The hotel room was very dirty, with black hair all over the floor, linen with holes and moldy and cracked paint on the walls. For some reason there was a helium balloon in the shape of a chicken hanging in the ceiling. I suppose a guest left it there, and nobody bothered to remove it. The staff was extremely loud, yelling to each other from floor to floor at 6AM. The only positive thing to say is that the hotel is just 200 meter from the beach.

The hotel was quite big and spacious. We had a double bed in our room and nice air con. There was also a mini bar which was quite handy. We rented a moped through the hotel so we could go to hoan which was about 30minutes drive. It was all good at the begining, but when we realised that we could not get home as there was no lights on the moped (about 8pm) - that's when things started to go wrong. Luckly, the guy that we had our moped parked at, called the hotel and spoke to them in Vietnamese (as when we tried, they could not understand a word) and he said that someone from the hotel is coming to get us. After 20mins wait, they called to say that no one is coming. So they just did nothing about it. So the guy phone his friend, organised us a lift (which we still had to pay for) and then safely took us back to Da Nang. At the check out, the receptionist wanted us to pay 80.000VND for bike instead of 100.000 we said no - it's for, so luckly she finally agreed to 50.000. Overall good experience and nice room but would stay somewhere else next time.

We were staying here again after 4 years and I must say I'm really disappointed. The room was dirty, as well as the bath room. The water heater was not working ( I don't care much about that I shower always in cold water), the fridge was dirty inside and outside, no one even came to clean up the room next day or change the towels. Much has changed in the four years, and you surely find a better place to stay.
