Garden Aroma Homestay Hoi An

First thing to say about Garden Aroma is the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful. Minh gave us a lot of great recommendations to eat like a local and we visited some great places. They also have a restaurant next door if you want to have a big sit down meal. The garden in the hotel has a coffee bar where you can make your own coffee at any time in the day and just leave a donation. The location of the hotel worked out really well for us. It's on the main road from the centre of town to Cua Dai beach. We really enjoyed Cua Dai as a more relaxed beach compared to An Bang. There are some markets around and also great local eateries. On the corner of the main road is a BBQ restaurant that operates in the evening serving great food. If you get a chance, do the market and cooking tour with the staff. It was a great experience and very good value compared to other cooking classes offered in Hoi An. Free bike hire available and they also have a scooter for rent! We stayed for one week and had a lot of time to just relax around the property.

We stayed at the Aroma for 4 nights and thought it was a great mini-escape within Hoi An. The staff are warm, welcoming, and very helpful. Han greeted us every morning with a big smile & ‘how are you’ (as did everyone). Breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruit, and our room was large and clean with an ensuite that seemed newly renovated. Thanks to the free bikes we never found it a bother to get into the old town (an Uber will only set you back about $2 USD if you prefer). The pool was very nice & there’s also space to sit out in front of the hotel. It’s a small hotel & so relatively quiet - a perfect counterbalance to the bustle of Hoi An.

My family of 5 recently visited Hoi An and stayed at the Garden Aroma Homestay in 3 rooms for 2 weeks. It’s conveniently located 5 minutes from the center of town, minutes from the beach, and about 40 minutes from the DaNang airport. We weren’t looking for a high rise or “resort” kind of place, but rather a more homey feel at a reasonable price. And that’s exactly what we found at Garden Aroma. As soon as we arrived they treated us like we were at a 5-Star resort. I cannot speak highly enough about the cleanliness and modern facilities. The queen beds were so comfortable. The bathroom facilities are updated and modern. Free breakfast and WiFi are bonuses. The gardens and grounds around the Homestay are impeccable and beautiful to walk. They offer free bicycles which we rode to the nearby beach. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, and was always served with friendly conversation. Most of all, the Staff was exceptional! Meu, the manager, could not have taken better care of us. She treated us like family from day one. If ever we needed anything, she and her staff immediately went out of their way to help us- exchanging money, arranging rides, first aid, laundry, extra blankets, tea when we came back in the afternoon, etc. We were there over the Christmas holiday, and Meu and her staff made us to a home cooked Christmas Eve lunch which we all enjoyed together! We wanted for nothing, which was such a bonus traveling in an unfamiliar country. They even brought us to Karaoke and we enjoyed an evening with the staff and their families. We made lifelong friends at the Garden Aroma Homestay! I HIGHLY recommend for anyone staying in the Hoi An area.
