Ocean Hotel Ii

The Cool Hotel, aptly renamed the Ocean Hotel (that was very confusing) was a pleasant place to stay for a quick trip. Only stayed the 1 night but it was suitable and comfortable. Internet was free but only offered the one computer... although the room have wifi access. Very friendly staff but some difficutly with language barrier. Offerred great suggestions for restaurants and advice. Probably wouldnt stay there if doing more than one night.

Things didn't get off to a good start. When we arrived the lifts weren't working so the 5th floor room got tiring after a couple of trips up and down. Luckily it was only out for a day. The bed had an 8 inch wide plank just above ankle height and you guessed it, we painfully cracked our shins a couple of times . The power went on and off a couple of times for hours at a time (was not a mains failure as only parts of the Hotel were affected) and the water was periodically off . Couple that with a fridge that wouldn't work first up, a safe which couldn't be reset, a writing desk you couldn't put you knees or legs under, no towels were left one day and the TV was off for all of our last day and you can see there were problems. There needn't be these problems. The rooms are very spacious and the staff are very accomplished and helpful. Just needs more thought in furnishings and a shake up of managerial staff

Great little hotel not far from the Old Quarter. Very clean and modern, lots of white walls and linen. Good breakfast on the top floor, nice and airy with good views. Very helpful staff and very good airconditioning to come back to after a hot walk around the Old Quarter. Will stay again.
