Maidza Hotel

It is a comfy hotel with nice breakfast, friendly & helpful staff, comfy rooms, nice location. However, I was there January which is winter, and it is sometimes 10 degree outside. I book the hotel because of the bathtub, and I called to confirm. What I want to do is to sink myself in a bathtub with hot water after the entire day of outdoor activities. However when it comes to real, they told me capacity of the hot water reservoir is too small so I have to wait 30 minutes before it get hot again. The problem is, after 30 minutes, whatever water in the bathtub become cold again. So you have to wait for another 30 minutes. Finally I decided not to wait so I take shower, but it is so stressful because the reservoir can only last roughly 10 minutes of continuous hot water, so I have to put my I phone there and time my shower time. Everything is good, but the shower is stressful.

Nice hotel just a little rough around the edges. But we didn't go to Hanoi for 5☆ . Our room on the 7th floor had beautiful big windows over looking West Lake what more could you ask for. The free WIFI worked fast every time. It is in a part where it us mostly Vietnamese but that is an experience in it's self. My first thought as we drove up to it was what have booked. But ended up loving our stay. The men on reception are really nice and what ever you want they are happy to help. The only down side is breakfast nice man running it but the hot food was all cold unless you ordered eggs or had the noodles. There is no inhouse restaurant oe bar .Wonderful experience.

It's a good hotel with very polite and friendly staff who serves you with a smile. But don't expect too much. The hotel is secured at night. Food is reasonably good. Watermelon juice was good. Pizza was unique. Our room was overlooking the lake which was the greatest part of the stay. It did not have the luxury but the bed was fine and we had good sleep. Beddings could be improved. The toilet needs a touch up to take that smell out. Location was in the market, walking distance to restaurants. It's a small hotel with personal touch. Even the chef became our chauffeur from the airport and back. :) I guess the friendly staff and the superb overlooking room made us stay and overlook all the drawbacks of this hotel.
