Calypso Suites Hotel

I am absolutely appalled by this hotel and advise everyone considering booking a room here to be cautious. I booked/paid for 3 rooms at this hotel - the reservation was made 11 months in advance in completely good faith based on advertised prices via one of the famous Asian hotel booking platforms. A month later I contacted the property to add a 4yo child and then the hotel representative disclosed that I will be charged additional fee on arrival as the price I've paid was a mistake. They suggested I cancel my booking if I do not agree to the additional fee. I am currently trying to resolve the issue via the booking platform though the hotel is repeatedly refusing to honour the booking. To this end, I will lodge a complaint with the Vietnam Competition and Consumer Authority (VCA) for breach of Article 10 of the Law on Protection of Consumers' Rights (No. 19/2010/QH12 & updated revisions) and Article 431 of the Civil Code of Vietnam (No. 91/2015/QH13).

A lovely stay at this hotel for our 4 nights in Hanoi. Used mainly as a base around our trips so perfect and no need for a pool or anything as had no time. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was clean with water provided daily. Would stay again for a short break. A big thank you to all the staff.

Rooms are lovely in pictures only which are posted on website but actually they are not upto the mark.I booked it for 3 days a room with window if I open the foul smells burns my nose.it is situated in a very narrow street.Hotel staff is also rude.
