The hotel has an excellent location; you can easily reach the main sites of interest in Hanoi. The room was quiet, and the equipment was adequate. Specifically, the assigned room was very dark, on the third floor, and had a small window that faced an interior courtyard. The window was covered by branches and was very close to the wall of the adjacent building. One of the lights was not working and we had to request a solution on several occasions. The breakfast is adequate. Depending on the day, we had more or less variety and rather slow replenishment. Small, basic gym. They do not have the drinking water fountain characteristic of Accor hotels. We had problems with the housekeeping service; we left a cleaning request in the morning and upon returning very late, the room had not been made up. We had to wait nearly 40 minutes for them to provide a solution.

We had a problem, since a couple forgot their wallet with more than 1000€, a card, and all their documentation at a Spa far from the hotel, and they helped us contact the Spa and recover it, even accompanying them in a taxi late at night to pick it up. Very good treatment, kindness, and commitment to their work.

I loved my three-night stay at Mercure Hanoi La Gare. This is an exceptionally well-managed hotel and it shows in all aspects of the operation. The professionalism, efficiency and customer care shown by all staff was exemplary from check-in to departure and all points in between. The.location of the hotel is great, just a short walk from the old town but out of the exceptionally busy small streets. The room is very well designed and equipped. The bed and bedding are super-comfortable. There is satellite TV, excellent wifi, tea/coffee facilities, room safe and a minibar. Room service offers 24 hour options. Breakfast delivers a wide range of dishes to suit Asian and western tastes. The standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the property is excellent. This is hotel keeping as it should be - and all at an excellent value for money price point. I highly recommend this hotel a d I will definitely be back.
