The hotel manager was excellent, contacted us directly from the day we booked the hotel. We love the smooth communication during the booking stages.
However, there were a few flops:
1. We have booked for a 4 seater private car for USD 25 (one way) but we received a coaster/minibus standard. I've complained about it to Lucas but received no apology. He replied by questioning me 'You don't like bigger and the cost the same as small one"? We arrived at 6 am in the morning with 2 sleepy kids, the coaster was not comfortable and we want to get what we have promised for.
2. We found the hotel's brochure for an airport transfer, 'pick up from the airport 3-4 pax for VND 480,000'. I asked Lucas, why was ours charged more? He said it was for 'sharing car'. Apparently, the cashier was also surprised at the price we had to pay for the airport transfer.
3. The check-in was smooth. However, we were assigned a very stinky room. The window and the toilet room were left open. We got ourselves a very cold stinky room. The smell of very bad sewer smell from the toilet. I asked for a replacement room, but there was no other room available. With 2 well asleep kids, we have to settle with the room. We were there for only 4 hours before check out to catch another flight.
The hotel was pretty basic. Old furniture with a musty smell cupboard.
The only plus was for their breakfast. They have Pho on the menu, but the taste was just ok.
