Hoang Gia Huy Hotel

From room 808 air cond blowing wind feel like 33° request to change room after waiting for 30mins. Changed to room 708 they stlll convince us air cond will cold in 30mins , we were too tired to change they gave us a stand fan but middle of night 2.00am woke up in sweat the air cond turned off by itself. Changed room to 908 now 2.55am already 30mins , cannot sleep the air cond feel tiny cooling wind not cold at all. How to ask to change room again? How can a hotel room air cond not cold?! Terrible. Really terrible

It is a stone's throw from Ben Thanh market, like 3 mins walk and the night market is right in front of the hotel. We walked to the major tourist area as they were nearby, like under 20 mins. The hotel itself is dated but clean. The price is reasonable given the condition. There are 8 floors & 1 lift which is enough for the number of guests. We were given the 7 floors where 1 room was a triple and another was a superior. Each floor has 3 rooms & we put an extra bed in each room totalling 7. Take the higher floor cause the noise from the night market do travel up. The hotel was very responsive to emails and made good attempt to put both rooms on the same floor. The size of the rooms were reasonable & there is a fridge, tv and safe (although ours wasn't working). Soap, toothbrush & towels were provided. Halal breakfast was simple & good. We had vegetarian pasta on one day and Singapore fried noodles the other day. The staple was eggs - sunny side up or half boiled, toasted bread with jam/peanut butter some fruits and a couple of finger food. Just outside the hotel are many halal restaurants serving both M'sian & local dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel especially for Muslims.

Room is clean, good service provided by staff, superior room is way bigger than standard, so just pay a little bit for an upgrade, simple breakfast (vege), basically if you're in HCMC for shopping trip. I recommend you to take this hotel, the location is excellent and price wise affordable. Many halal restaurant around, very near to ben than market.
