Close to the city centre amongst lots of reastaurants and bars. This is an elderly hotel. The room was a decent size with double bed and all the usual accoutrements, like TV/fridge, dressing table, small table and chairs and tea/coffee. The bathroom was OK too. The downside was that the room overlooked the road and there was quite a lot of noise.

Must be a busy week, office secretary couldn't get a room on our usual business hotel apparently sold out week.
Very basic, budget tourist at VND 700,000 ++ (VND 808,500)
Rooms are okie clean, I will have liked more former mattresses which is abit soft more like worn. In general the hotel is old.
Breakfast comes the room rate, reasonable spread of Western and local noodles and white porridge, not a whole lot but at the price can't really complain.

Do not confuse this hotel with that of the same name on Dong Khoi Street. Many taxi drivers will take you to the Bong Sen Hotel on Dong Khoi by genuine mistake. The Bong Sen Annexe hotel is located on Hai Ba Trung. A reasonable, relatively cheap hotel in District 1, so central to everything. Every kind of restaurant/convenience store nearby and within five minute's walking distance. Get a room which doesn't face the street (Hai Ba Trung) because traffic noise levels are high. This may be one of the very few occasions when you ask for a room with no windows! The reception staff and cleaning staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is ...what you'd expect from a cheaper hotel with such a central location. Ok for two or three days then becomes repetitive. Comfortable outside eating area in cooler season. The room I stayed in was comfortable and - most importantly: quiet, but looking a little... tired.
