Mai Vy Hotel

Nice, clean and quite room. Wifi signal wasn't really stable but was quite fast when I surfed web. The staff seemed unfriendly but actually really helpful when I asked for help. It was very kind of them to let me leave my lugguage there till 7.30 pm (I checked out at noon).

The location of Mai Vy is great - 1 minute walk to Bui Vien street, pretty close to the city center( 10 min walk ), the room was quiet, clean, decent, small but ok for one guy, nice bathroom, staff is nice, helpfull, wifi not great but decent. I recommend .

I stayed in the single room nearly 2 weeks in April 2016. I feel that more effort could be put into cleaning the room. While the basics were taken care of (clean sheets, floor and bathroom), there were dust bunnies on every other piece of furniture (closet, TV, and the refrigerator that was not working). The bathroom is quite strange because you can peek into another room's bathroom. Due to this strange design, my room was plagued with the smell of cigarette smoke that came from another guest whose bathroom was directly opposite mine. In addition, I feel that the staff has lost the passion for service. All my questions were met with disinterest and disdain, perhaps because i disturbed them from watching their youtube videos or Vietnamese soap dramas. A "good morning", "hello" or maybe just a simple smile would have been nice. Wifi was good when I could receive the signal. (It can be quite spotty) I was satisfied with this place in general but it would be even better if they bothered to be more hospitable.
