Thuy Nhu Hotel

Paid 20USD for a standard room. Its relatively small, with a window that is against another wall. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was superb for a hotel in this price category. Bed linen and towels were fresh and good quality The AC worked well and the WIFI signal in the room was strong and fast. The girl working on the reception was very helpful and sweet and even let us print our e-tickets without any additional charge The location is not very central though, its around 20 minutes walking to Dong Khoi street (5 min by taxi for 40.000Dong) Overall I can recommend this place

When our family travel to Ho Chi Minh City we normally stay on Pham Viet Chanh to be close to my wife's parent's house. For Tet 2011 we thought we'd try something different. A friend recommended the Thuy Nhu which is also fairly close by. First impressions of this hotel were positive as we were met by friendly staff as soon as our taxi pulled up outside. Our bags were whisked up to a spacious and clean room on the second floor facing out over the main road (Bui Thi Xuan). The hotel owner was on site and available most of the time we were there, and gave us a couple of excellent tips for restaurants in the area. She was also great with our kids, as are most Vietnamese. The cost was similar to the prices on Pham Viet Chanh, but the location was much more central. On one adventurous afternoon I walked from the hotel to the Opera House and back. Takes maybe twenty minutes each way and a few pints of sweat. Overall couldn't fault this place and enjoyed our trip tremendously.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast were great. Room was clean and tidy. Decor was great and air-con is new. Toilet were clean and new. It takes only 5 minutes from the famous Ben Thanh market by taxi would be easily available. Just as the hotel staff for help to call for a taxi.
