Golden Ant Hotel

A THIEF AMONGST THE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGMENT THAT LIE I have stayed at the apartment complex managed by this hotel from March until September 2014. The management seemed nice up until something went wrong. I left for a short trip to Sydney in June and although I had paid for the rental of my room, I freely allowed them to rent out my room in my absence. Packed all my belongings and was told that they would be moved to the main hotel reception. On my return 6 weeks later, I was horrified to learn that my belongings were left on the top floor which is a common laundry area and accessible by anyone. After opening all of my belongings over a period of 2 weeks, I was absolutely horrifes to learn that a briefcase containing 3 watches and some important documents had gone missing. When I asked the management about this all they could offer was an apology. I asked them to check the security footage but was notified that they did not work and were only there for show. In September I advised the management that I was returning to Sydney for another trip and they had agreed that I could terminate my contract early. I advised them to take out a month of rent that was due and also any electricity payments that were required. They agreed on this but on my return I was advised that the remaining deposit monies, almost $400 would not be refunded. I thought that Koreans were an honourable society but it seems that I was wrong. Never trust these peiple again

The Golden Ant is managed by young people who takes service very seriously. It is basically a 2/3-Star hotel in District 7 which is a very safe location for foreigners to walk around. Many expats and Koreans live there so one can absolutely sure that there are no pocket thieves unlike in some areas of Ho-Chi-Minh-City. The hotel itself is a small boutique-style establishment. The breakfast provided in the restaurant belonging to the hotel and offers some variety. The rooms are clean and ok and the size varies from room type. I had a 2 bed-room apartment with separate living room and bathrooms. One very good feature is that WiFi is provided for free. Anyway the owner of the hotel can organize transportation, a car with a driver and even golf bookings for you. So you can ask them basically everything regarding HCMC and they will help you as much as they can. If you are on honeymoon or on luxury-style trip then I would recommend you to go the 5-star hotels but if you on business trips with some leisure elements then I would recommend you this hotel as the price-performance ratio is unbeaten.

I first stayed there when it was first opened many years back and it was the right time now to reposition this boutique hotel and restore to its original meekness. The furnishings and decor have been spruced up to reflect with a modern contemporary image. The room amenities have been given a refreshing new breath of life with a new look! The staff service has been more personalized with personal eye contact, taking time to assist me in every way and even taking note of my preferences or dislikes. The attention to the simple tiny details meant a lot to me that every staff and management in the hotel knows exactly what hospitality service is all about.
