Que Huong Hotel

I transferred to this hotel after my friends returned. The hotel price is cheap, yet the service are good. The stuff are nice, they can help to arrange tour for cu chi and mekong delta. They also offer laundry service which is really good for bag packers. If I ever visit Ho chi Minh again, I believe this is one of the few hotel I will choose to stay where it is budget and have all things essential for a budget trip.

The VERY good points here are: - a really nice receptionist, smiling each time we come and go, always caring about how comfortable we were. She speaks well english and even talked to us with a quite good level of french, which was really sweet :-) - a free laundry service for one set of clothes per person and per day. We had to leave early the last day, so the receptionist asked the day before for the laundry to be delivered in our bedroom, it was done 15mn later (we gave the clothes in the morning the same day)! - the bedroom was large enough, clean, with a very comfortable double bed and a private bathroom (with bathtub!!!), A/C, fridge and even a safe! - a cheap price compared to its neighbours on the same street : we payed 240.000 (less than 12$) for a big bed room... at fifth floor, but we were offered to take our heavy bags up for us. - very central position, you can visit Saigon by feet from there. We found this hotel by chance while entering every hotel in the neighborhood. It was our last nights in Vietnam after 3 weeks in the country: it was a really great surprise, and the best quality of service we found for one of the cheapest room of this travel! Congratulations!!!

The floor was clean, but other surfaces were dirty. I saw tiny brown dots moving around - BUGS! I also saw a RAT in the lobby one night. The walls need serious scrubbing, especially in the bathroom - there was lyme, mildew, and mould. The bathroom looked absolutely nothing like the photos I saw online. The wooden bathroom door desperately needs to be replaced, and the bathroom light was so dim that you could hardly see inside. There were holes/tears in the curtains as well as in the sheets.
