Galliot Hotel

I want to warn all those who are going on vacation to this hotel and read the positive reviews. We've been in Nha Trang three times and we've stayed in separate hotels. Galiot was chosen because of such positive reviews, and was ultimately very disappointed. The hotel advised the tour operator, rested three families with children. The hotel is old, rooms need updating, breakfasts are scarce and after 5 days we went to eat at a nearby cafe. The kids had nothing to choose from. Lots of Russians, Kazakhs and Chinese. The rooftop pool is small and dirty. Not covered by the sun, it's not possible to get hot in the end. Room service is daily, but very poor. They change the towel, the water, sometimes sweep the room. Dust on nightstands and spots on the floor weren't noticed. The bathroom was never washed. Location of the hotel on 3rd Street, to the sea 15 minutes slow. The front desk staff aren't pleasant, like we're not here, but the truth is, every request was answered and helped. All in all, three stars, no more. And we're definitely not coming here next time.

We were on vacation together in May 26. The location is good, all around the tourist infrastructure. The sea is about 10 minutes by a leisurely step past cafes, shops, etc. Residents are mostly Russian. Take a $50 deposit or one passport. Breakfast is bad. It's not good and it's the same every day. The pool is on the 15th floor. It's small, but you can swim. There is also a private terrace upstairs with tables where you can sit in the evening. There are also downstairs tables for "sitting" at the hotel entrance. Cockroaches have been seen)). Local, huge. In the bathroom. The room is fine. On the 4th floor, a small balcony. Pretty noisy from down the street. But in general - it is noisy everywhere). Water on the table and tea/coffee are free, water in the fridge is free. There is also a refrigerator at the reception, where you can buy water/beer at any time of day. No dryer. Rope was taken, hung on the balcony. A strange design solution is a curtain-covered window between the bathroom and the room instead of a wall. So you can see from the room what's going on in the bathroom. Out of trouble - at the departure they showed us a photo of a soiled towel and demanded to pay a fine of 60 dong. The photo wasn't taken at the time of renting out the room, but clearly in advance. And washing 1 kg of linen they cost 30 dong, and this one towel - 60)). It seems like a small business of hotel employees - the cleaners take pictures of where things are wrong and then demand payment of the fine upon check-out. Taking advantage of the fact that you already have an airport transfer waiting for you and no time to sort it out. On the whole, though, the staff are friendly. The beach is public. There are sunbeds (from hotels on the first line), but you can rent them. I still don't understand the price, different amounts, apparently depending on what time you came in. The water is very warm (in May), but there were waves for a few days. On the beach people until late in the evening, after 17 the bulk comes out (when the heat has subsided). Excursions were taken at the Russian Information Center (a point near the hotel). Two days in Saigon liked it. Dalat - not recommended, hard road, 3.5 hours serpentine, all locations not interesting. Winpearl recommends taking for 2 days, you won't have time to go around everything in one and ride everything. There's a lot of cafes. We went to different places, tried different dishes, including quite exotic ones. Also a lot of spa, went several times for general massage, also in different salons. Of the shops nearby the cheapest Sapphire, there you can also buy souvenirs and gifts home. In general – Nha Trang is quite a city, comfortable and oriented to tourists, in many ways – Russians). There were no special expectations of the hotel, they took because of the location. Slightly messed up the impression of the towel incident, otherwise fine.

The hotel is on line 3, rather cozy for Nha Trang. Clean, renovated hotel, with friendly staff trying to solve all problems. Nhat's girl at the reception is always in the mood to help, and she has a special thank you. Breakfasts are hearty and delicious, without much variety. Tea, Showers, toothbrushes and even razors in the room From the cons, on one side there are rooms with blank windows, the issue of occupancy must be resolved. And this hotel is loved by the Chinese , with all the problems stemming from their mass stay))
