Que Huong Hotel

For what it is worth this was a gem of a find, great location across fromt he beach, a short walk to the many attractions, and in a relatively quiet spot. yes, it is not a five star hotel, but you get what you pay for. i found the staff attentive, the pol was gorgeous, and the rooms all you needed after a hard day out on the water.

If you are looking for a cheap cheap hotel in Nha Trang across the road from the beach then this is it. I don't really know what people expect for 48 bucks. We enjoyed it for what it was and mostly because of where it was. We didn't get to use the pool but watched many a fine Vietnamese wedding happening around it. However as a result we found the Louisiana Bar which is located on 29 Tran Phu St. It is near Sailing club. Louisiana is one of the best bars for clean, secure beach access, it has its own pool, friendly staff and is inexpensive. My teenage sons loved it and we loved so we spent quite a few days soaking up the sun, pool and beach

We stayed in this hotel as part of a Travel Indochina tour in September 2011. It was terrible! The room stank and the carpet was sticky under foot, obviously the source of the bad smell. The odour was so strong we had to have the doors and windows open all the time we were inside the room. With the temperature and humidity quite high at this time of year this made for a very uncomfortable experience. I even tried sprinkling eucalyptus oil around to try and mask the smell but this didn't help much. Fortunately the location is excellent, right across from the beach and a short walk to great bars and restaurants, so we spent as little time in the room as possible. That is until I came down with a mild bout of gastro which forced me back into the room for the 12 hours it took to recover, not a nice experience. I also lost the tshirt I was using as pyjamas, I had left it under my pillow one morning and when I came back in the afternoon it had disappeared. It had obviously been scooped up with the bed linen when they were changing the sheets. A simple mistake and no great loss but on top of everything else it just made the experience even more depressing.
