Thien Thanh Hotel

We were fully aware that standards may not be as high considering we chose a budget hotel. However, what we experienced was far below average and really not value for money. Although staff were friendly and attempted to assist us with our never ending list of problems; we should never of had these issues in the first place. Air con didn’t work, water system for shower didn’t work, mould everywhere, blood stains on blanket and bed and the list goes on.

Avoid at all cost. We booked this hotel and from the minute we arrived I knew it was going to be a rough stay. Our key for our room was thrust into our faces as soon as we walked in without any hellos. The next words out of his mouth were passport and while we were waiting for him to scan it he instead went on his phone while we were standing there. We weren't sure what was going on and he told us to go on up to our rooms. I'm not very happy with them keeping my passport, especially since I didn't see him put it into a secure location. I wasn't expecting much from this type of hotel in this budget range but the room was horrifying. There are cob webs hanging from the ceiling, no hand soap in the bathroom (although they did have shampoo in plastic packets), the fridge was filthy, the walls had bugs crawling on them and you can barely fit two big bags in the room. All this I could looked over if it wasn't for the most uncomfortable "bed" I have ever slept on in my life. I use the term bed very loosely because it consisted of a platform bed with a 2 inch pad laying on the top. For all intents and purposes I might as well have been sleeping on the floor for how unbelievably uncomfortable it was. In addition to the room the hotel is located far away from most attractions and restaurants, although it is a short walk to the beach.

The hotel was a little out of the centre but was a lovely walk along the beach. It was clean but nothing out of the ordinary but then again I wasn't a great fan of nha trang itself. The staff were very helpful on assisting to book our early morning taxis etc.
