Inside the tomb are the remains of Qin Shi Huang and various treasures, as well as many terracotta soldiers and horse carriages to represent the courtiers who traveled to the afterlife with him. Qin Shi Huang ordered the construction of this underground tomb when he ascended to the throne at the age of 13. The tomb was discovered by accident by a farmer who was digging the ground to create a well in 1974. During the digging, they accidentally found the remains of Terracotta Army, which were later discovered to be over 2,000 years old. Currently, the Chinese government has excavated more than 7,400 pieces of ancient artifacts, including the Terracotta Army, weapons, chariots, and war horses. The Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is divided into 3 parts: Pit 1, the first pit is the largest pit, with more than 6,000 terracotta figures of soldiers, 40 chariots and horses pulling them. Importantly, every terracotta figure has a unique facial structure, expression, and hairstyle, no two are exactly alike.
