Georgian Historical Park - Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - Jvari Cathedral - Freedom Square

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Visit the Monument to the History of Georgia (The Chronicle of Georgia) (approximately 30 minutes), a symbol of Tbilisi. Designed by renowned Georgian-Russian architect and sculptor Zurab Tsereteli, it was built in 1985 to celebrate 3,000 years of Georgian sovereignty and 2,000 years of Christianity in Georgia. It features massive black obelisks carved with various figures representing Georgia's past. The obelisk consists of 16 massive columns, each standing 35 meters tall. Each column is carved with patterns depicting Georgian history. It is divided into three sections: the lower section depicts stories from the Christian Bible, the middle section depicts the lives of high-ranking officials, and the top section chronicles important events in Georgia. Enjoy panoramic city views from this location. Then, travel to Mtskheta (approximately 45 minutes), a small town with a beautiful landscape. It is one of Georgia's oldest cities, dating back over 3,000 years. It was once the capital, boasting numerous historical sites. In 1994, UNESCO recognized Mshkheta as a World Heritage Site. Another unique feature of the city is the confluence of two rivers, the Aragvi and Mtkvari, each with its own distinct color. This creates a unique sight when you come together.
Noon: Have lunch at a restaurant.
See Georgia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Jvari Cathedral, the Church of the Holy Cross, and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, or the Living Pillar. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, whose name means "pillar" and "tskhoveli" means "life." Put simply, the Cathedral of the Living Pillar is the largest ancient structure in Georgia. Built around the 11th century, it served as the center of Georgia's conversion to Christianity. And Christianity became the state religion of Georgia in 337 AD. It is believed to be the place where a lock of hair of Jesus Christ was buried before he died on the cross. This cathedral was also the coronation ceremony of Georgia's kings and the burial place of 10 kings. Visit Jvari Monastery (Jvari Monastery - Temple of the Cross), one of the oldest and holiest religious sites. It is a 1,500-year-old Orthodox church of the Holy Cross, standing tall on a hill by the water. It is also a model for many churches throughout Georgia. Its elegance and power are such that it is the origin of the legend of the Lake of Tears. (Today, the cross in the cathedral is not the original. Only the stone foundation is still the original.) Then, free time at Freedom Square or Liberty Square, located in the heart of Tbilisi, Georgia, at the eastern end of Rustaveli Street. Under the Russian Empire, it was known as Erivansky or Paskevich-Erivansky Square. While it was part of the Soviet Union, you can enjoy a satisfying stroll through Beria Square and Lenin Square. Free dinner at your leisure.
Accommodation: 4-star Georgian standard hotel or equivalent.

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Take a cable car ride to admire the charm of Tbilisi, which has preserved the unique character of its old city, founded in the 5th century, while continuing to modernize. Admire the beautiful buildings, painted in pastel colors and featuring bright orange roofs.

Finally, you will visit Narikala Fortress, a large and ancient fortress. Historians regard Narikala Fortress as one of the most powerful and invincible fortresses. The name NARI-KALA is Persian for "the unassailable fortress." It is believed to have been built in the 4th century and was originally built to protect Tbilisi from wartime before becoming an important landmark in Tbilisi. Stop to take a photo of the Mother of Georgia statue, a 20-meter-tall statue of a woman standing atop Sololaki Hill. It is another symbol of the spirituality of Georgians. The statue was erected in 1958 to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of the founding of Tbilisi. Designed by a Georgian sculptor, the 20-meter-tall aluminum statue depicts a woman in traditional dress, holding a sword in her right hand and a wine glass in her left. The wine glass represents friendly visitors, and Georgians are ready to make friends with the country's traditional beverage, fine wine. However, if visitors mean enemies, the sword in hand is ready to protect them from invasion. Take a photo in front of the ancient baths, Abanotubani Tbilisi Sulfur Baths, in the Abanotubani (Sulfur Baths) area of the old city, home to sulfur springs. The hot springs here are said to contain minerals that help brighten the skin. Admire the ancient bathhouse, featuring a distinctive brown dome roof and intricately decorated blue arches.
