Apple Tree Hotel Gunsan

My visit was short but sweet. My room was on the top floor, quiet and well lit. I had a queen size bed and a closet for hanging clothing, with drawers under the bed. The room was a little cozy. The bathroom had a nice shower with a tall shower head that was great for those who are tall, and was detachable. Glass sink and shower wall was great. There was a computer and desk with chair, the internet was fast. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast served in the morning, and a restaurant. Alternate restaurants are within a mile or two. The hotel employees were very courteous and friendly. I would consider staying there again.

Hotel do not serve dinner and the restaurant is closed!! Need to walk for 20min down the street to have dinner. Very strange cos middle of industrial area there is a hotel here. Nothing nearby and not recommended unless you have a car or transport.. Or else stranded here

During a short tour of Korea with my Abba tribute band our promoters put us up in The Apple Tree Hotel. Located some 30 minutes from the main area of Gunsan, and very strangely located in the industrial area of this province? But with other hotels nearby, and on the beach is this area a happening waiting to happen? Our trip was just four weeks before Christmas; we found it highly amusing that in the main reception, and on entry to the lift to the hotel, the Christmas trees are decorated with apples! The reception located on the 2nd floor: We found the staff very helpful and friendly, a large restaurant, fitness room, bar and the first question would we like a cup of coffee: help yourself. The actual room we stayed in on the 10th floor was on first look small! A double room, but once in the room it had near enough all we required. A safe, humidifier, TV, good Wi-Fi in every location throughout the whole hotel. Hair dryer, a fab wet room with a really good shower. Clothes are hung on the wall, with storage under the bed. Breakfast is a traditional Korean breakfast which we enjoyed; one complaint the coffee was not good! The hotel mid-week was busy, a lot of families which surprised us as it looks more like a business hotel. The location; No restaurants, clubs or indeed anything in walking distance. But we travelled using three rooms and did enjoy our stay We did not pay for our rooms this was down to our promoters of our tour so can't comment on value for money. We would stay again and recommend this hotel but only for a night or three! Longer if you have transport
