Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament (Ozumo Nagoya Basho) Japan hosts six major sumo tournaments each year, and the Nagoya Basho is one of the most anticipated. This year’s event will be held in mid-July at the brand-new Aichi International Arena (IG Arena), located near Nagoya Castle. With the arena’s grand opening this summer, demand for tickets is higher than ever making it an extra special time to experience sumo in Nagoya!
