The Baxa Motel

Just back from a weekend in Buckhannon with a nice stay at The Baxa. We were in town for a memorial service and the hotel where most folks were staying was full - but so glad we discovered this...

it was very clean, very friendly hosts, 1 block from the Main Street of town. It is not a chain; if you like predicability and uniformity, then go to a chain. I don't know why trip advisor demands...

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The owners are on site and have many fun stories to tell. They are in the process of remodeling the motel. The room was small but comfortable...
