The Bode Museum houses Byzantine art and one of the world's largest sculpture collections, located on the northern tip of Museum Island in Berlin. This museum is one of Berlin's most beautiful buildings. It was built around the 20th century for Crown Princess Victoria of Prussia, who wished to display paintings and sculptures side-by-side. Art historian and curator Wilhelm von Bode carried out her wishes, and the museum was named in his honor.
