The impressive Neues Museum on Museum Island reopened its doors in 2009 after a big restoration, and marks the home of the 3,300-year-old bust of Egyptian queen Nefertiti - one of the most famous works of the ancient world. Over 6,000 archaeological items represent life from the Stone Age through to the Middle Ages. See the Neanderthal from Le Moustier, gaze at wall paintings featuring Nordic mythology in the room and witness the - a late Bronze Age headdress piece crafted from thin gold leaf, which originates from 1000-800 BC.You might not be walking like an Egyptian at the end of all this, but you'll definitely be able to talk like one.This special exhibition will be on from 6 July until 3 December 2017 in the Neues Museum. See Ancient Egyptian treasures and Ancient Chinese art side-by-side and exhibits from China that have never been seen before in Europe and explore amazing items from 4500 BC, to the Greek and Roman period (332 BC to 313 AD).
