Mt. Moiwa Nightscape and Ropeway

Located in the center of Sapporo, Mount Moiwa is 531 meters above sea level and surrounded by virgin forests. From spring to autumn, it changes from new green to red leaves. In winter, it is covered in snow, which is romantic and a good place for skiing. From the observatory on the top of the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the city, and the night view is even better. It is very interesting to experience two kinds of cable cars at one time. The cable car of Mount Moiwa is very interesting. The whole journey is divided into two sections. From the foot of the mountain to the middle of the mountain is a suspended ropeway (Ropeway), while from the middle of the mountain to the top of the mountain is the Morisu Mini Cable Car (Mini Cable Car) that slides on the track. In addition to taking the cable car for hiking, Mount Moiwa can also be easily climbed, which is very popular among Sapporo citizens. Five hiking trails (the shortest is 2.4 kilometers and the longest is 4.5 kilometers) that can be climbed with light equipment are crowded with climbers on summer weekends. There is also a chance to see all kinds of cute animals when hiking.
