Winter: NO LIMIT! Christmas

Period: Held from late November to January. Step into the most romantic time of the year! The major highlight is the "Giant Christmas Tree," which has previously broken world records for its brilliant illumination. Additionally, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter features a spectacular projection mapping show on Hogwarts™ Castle, a magical experience exclusive to the holiday season.

Annual Special Event: Halloween Horror Nights

If you are planning to visit between September and early November, this is the event that USJ fans worldwide look forward to the most! Get ready for the "Fun by Day, Fright by Night" experience.
During the day, you can enjoy lively dance parties with adorable characters. However, as the clock strikes 18:00 and the sun begins to set, the cheerful atmosphere instantly transforms into a simulated hellscape. Street Zombies

The biggest highlight begins after 6 PM, when blaring emergency sirens echo through the Hollywood, New York, and San Francisco zones. The area becomes shrouded in white fog, the lights dim, and hundreds of zombies suddenly appear!

• Zombie Diversity: Each year features distinct zombie zones. you might encounter the "Executioners," giant zombies far taller than average humans; "Circus Zombies," creepy clowns with bone-chilling laughter; and the signature "Prison Zombies," who roam the streets dragging chainsaws that spray sparks against the pavement. Just the buzzing sound of those chainsaws is enough to send crowds running in every direction.
• Zombie de Dance: Despite the terror, every 30-60 minutes, a special dance track blasts through the speakers. Entry Techniques

For the adventurous souls who didn't budget for an Express Pass or missed the booking window, the "Early Entry" strategy is the heartbeat of your plan to hit popular zones within the first hour.

• The "Unscheduled" Opening Time: USJ almost always opens its gates 30–60 minutes earlier than the official time listed on the website (e.g., if it says 09:00, they may actually open at 08:15). Therefore, you should arrive at the front gate at least 1.5 hours before the official opening time.
• Priority #1: Donkey Kong Country: Having launched in 2024–2025, this zone remains the most high-demand area in 2026. When the gates open, head straight to Super Nintendo World to ride the latest attraction, Mine-Cart Madness™, before the wait time skyrockets past 200 minutes later in the morning.
• Bonus Tip: Download the USJ App and register your tickets in advance. The second you walk through the gate, use the app to grab an Area Timed Entry Ticket for the Nintendo zone. This acts as your "backup" so you can re-enter the zone for a second visit in the afternoon or evening.

 

Single Rider Technique for Solo Travelers

If your goal is to "complete your ride checklist" and you don't mind sitting separately from your friends, the Single Rider system can save you a massive amount of time.
How it works: Staff will pull individuals from the Single Rider lane to fill empty seats left by groups in the regular queue (e.g., if a ride seats four but a group of three is next, one seat remains open).
Recommended rides for this system:

• Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge: Can save you over 60 minutes of wait time.
• The Flying Dinosaur: While the regular queue may be 120 minutes, the Single Rider lane often takes no more than 40-50 minutes.
• Space Fantasy – The Ride: Especially useful when this ride features limited-edition anime collaborations.

Note: During extremely busy periods, staff may temporarily close the Single Rider lane. Be sure to check the status frequently on the official app.

 

Child Switch Technique

This system is specifically designed for "families with small children" who do not meet height requirements or for children who are not yet ready for intense rides. It ensures parents don't have to miss out on the fun.
The Process:
Bring your child to the ride entrance and inform the staff you would like to use "Child Switch."
Staff will escort you to a designated Waiting Room.
The first parent (A) goes to ride as usual, while the second parent (B) stays in the room to watch the child.
Once Parent A is finished, they return to swap with Parent B. The second parent can then enter the ride immediately through a special lane without having to queue from the beginning.
Special Perk: For the second round, Parent B is often allowed to bring one companion from the group to ride along with them (provided the ride has available seating).
