If you're looking to go sightseeing while exploring on an adventure then this 5-hour Via Ferrata experience is perfect for you! Lasting for around 5-hours the experience sees you travel through the beautiful Otago countryside from Wanaka to Twin Falls, a 60-metre high waterfall. It's from the base of this waterfall that your adventure truly begins as you ascend the rock cliffs of the waterfall by climbing up the Via Ferrata course. The route is made up of steel cables, ladders, suspension bridges and wires, which makes for an awesome experience for all who are brave enough. Reaching incredible heights and admiring breathtaking views of the surrounding Otago region, you'll be well rewarded for all of your hard work. Ideal for active beginners comfortable with heights, this is one of the best experiences for adults and children alike as the tour caters for children as young as 13 years of age. All necessary equipment is supplied including harnesses, helmets, lanyards and more, as is all necessary training and safety briefings from your experienced guide. Members of the group are advised to wear suitable clothing, sturdy shoes, bring sunglasses, sunscreen and swimmers if you're looking to go for a dip in the relaxing hidden pools.

* This tour operates with a minimum of 2 guests * Suitable for adventurous, active beginners. Must be able to climb a ladder, walk on uneven terrain, move through steep exposed cliffs and be active for up to 5 hours * Minimum age for the Via Ferrata Tours is 12 years. Anybody under the age of 16 years must climb with an adult guardian * Minimum height is 120cm * Standard harnesses have a minimum weight of 40kg and maximum weight limit of 100kgs * Be prepared for walking up and down trails that are steep in sections * You will be climbing ladder rungs that run next to the waterfall and crossing bridges over the waterfall. You will be required to clip and unclip your via ferrata lanyard along the way * You will not get wet, however, you may get your feet wet at times. There are opportunities to swim in hidden pools and picnic along the way. * The activity is not difficult, however you will be required to climb up ladder rungs. On the trek your feet will be mainly on solid ground, however, you will be required to use via ferrata safety systems in some places

Wear sturdy, treaded shoes, appropriate clothing for the day's weather, sunglasses and sunscreen, swimwear and a small towel (optional), and a camera. This activity operates with a minimum of 2 guests. Suitable for brave and enthusiastic beginners. Participants must be able to climb ladders, walk on uneven terrain, move across steep cliffs, and engage in continuous activity for up to 5 hours. The minimum age for the Via Ferrata tour is 12 years. Those under 16 must climb with an adult guardian. Minimum height 120 cm. Standard harnesses have a minimum weight of 40 kg and a maximum of 100 kg. Be prepared for walking up and down partially steep paths. You will climb ladders next to the waterfall and cross bridges above the waterfall, needing to unclip and clip the Via Ferrata safety rope along the way. Feet may get wet occasionally, but overall it won't be very wet. The activity is not difficult, but it involves climbing ladders. During the trek, you will mostly be on stable ground, but you will use the Via Ferrata safety system at certain points.
