Novotel Buenos Aires

Excellent in its highest expression. Kindness, professionalism, modern building, with a restaurant and on Corrientes Street with all the cinemas, theaters, and dining options at the doorstep. Good transportation and 3 blocks from the obelisk. They let us stay until 2 PM at no cost. The room has a minibar, tea and coffee service with an electric kettle. The bathroom is divine. Everything is perfect.

The hotel is in a great location, although the view from the windows is what it is, as the buildings opposite are in a distressing maintenance condition (but this is obviously not the responsibility of the hotel). Check-in is at 3pm and we found this a bit strange; it is true that one must know and arrive prepared, but nevertheless it remains that having the room at 3pm is an uncomfortable thing that could easily be changed. The rooms are in the norm as space and below the norm as state of maintenance, especially the walls and sinks of the bathroom. The breakfast in the morning is really great, both in quantity and quality and variety, and the room where you can have breakfast is very nice, since it is the same as the restaurant inside the hotel. From the point of view of the staff things are in chiaroscuro since much depends on the people you will meet; we have been there twice and the second was worse than the first in terms of friendliness and hospitality. It would be useful to have a course in standardizing attitudes, even if on average you meet professional and helpful people. Maybe a few more smiles could change perception.

Novotel Buenos aires is situated in the business Avenue Corrientes that is full of shops, ice cream parlours , restaurants etc . The business city centre is where is Novotel located It's a 4 star property the room is just decent the staff hospitality is mediocre especially at the reception , the restaurant doesn't have a big spread of vegetarian dishes, the buffet breakfast is just okay but nothing to complain The worst part is that you don't have a Bell boy or any help who can assist your baggage handling from the taxi to the room. Novotel says they don't have this service at all. For youngsters it's fine but for elderly people this can be a big challenge Again you cannot exchange even a single USD to Pesos over there as they don't carry Pesos . So please carry a little amount of Pesos always with you to give some tips to the waiters at the restaurant. Nothing more to add. This is a very average 4 star hotel located in a nice vicinity and that's the only advantage . The hotel and the amenities are just OK
